Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 June 2026

The short version. Day Right keeps your family's information on your own devices. There are no accounts, and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. When you sync between your family's devices, the data travels directly between them and is end-to-end encrypted — it never reaches our servers. There is no advertising and no third-party analytics.

Who this policy is for

Day Right is a visual routine helper for families. It is designed for parents and carers to set up, and for children to follow. This policy explains exactly what happens to information in the app — which, by design, is very little.

Information stored on your device

Everything you create in Day Right — routines, the characters and pictures you add, your children's display names and avatars, and progress through a routine — is stored locally on your device. We do not require an email address, phone number, or any sign-up, and we hold no copy of this information.

Syncing between your family's devices

If you connect more than one device to the same family group, the app syncs your information directly between those devices. Two things keep this private:

The actual routine and image data flows directly between your devices — it does not pass through or get stored on our infrastructure.

Photos and camera

You can add pictures to characters and routine steps, either from your photo library or by taking a photo. These images are stored on your device and synced only to your own family's devices as described above. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party.

Diagnostics and logging

Diagnostic logging is off by default. If a parent turns it on, the app may send technical diagnostic entries to a logging service we operate, to help fix problems. These entries contain only anonymous identifiers, version numbers, and counts. They never include names, pictures, the content of routines, PINs, or your family group code.

No advertising, analytics, or data sharing

Day Right contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics or tracking software development kits. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.

Children's privacy

Day Right is built for family use. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children, and it shows no ads and no external links to children. Because nothing is collected on our servers, there is no children's data for us to hold, profile, or disclose.

Permissions the app requests

Keeping and deleting your information

Because your information lives on your devices, you are in control of it. Deleting a routine or character removes it; clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes everything from that device. There is no server-side copy for us to delete, because we never had one.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the new version here.
